Pascual Aldave (1924 - 2013), composer, conductor and pedagogue
Pascual Aldave (1934–2014) represents an innovative generation open to the musical languages of the 20th century. A composer, pedagogue, and conductor, Aldave developed a body of work committed to modernity, without renouncing his roots. His catalogue spans vocal, choral, chamber, and symphonic music, and is notable for its attention to the poetic word and timbral color. He was also a great mentor to new generations, leaving a decisive mark on the contemporary Basque musical landscape.
